Made in USA. Melling offers an Engine Cylinder Deactivation Kit for converting Active Fuel Management engines to a Non-Active Fuel Management engines. The Melling Deactivation Kit includes all components need to complete the changeover. Vehicle Will Not Be CARB Compliant After The Vehicles Engine Control Module/Power Train Control Module Is Reprogramed. The kit includes (1) MDM Delete Camshaft, (4) Non-Active Fuel Management lifter guides, (16) Non-Active Fuel Management Hydraulic Roller Lifters and (4) Non-MDS Engine Plugs. All Melling Engine Cylinder Deactivation engine components are developed, engineered, tested and manufactured with the highest standards of quality and materials.
Engine Cylinder Deactivation Delete Kit
Notes- When Installing A Delete Cam, The Active Fuel Management Lifters Must Be Replaced Using Non-Active Fuel Management Lifters.
- The Valve Lifter Guides Used In Non-Active Fuel Management Engines Are Different From Those Used In Active Fuel Management Engines And Must Be Replaced When Installing The Non-Active Fuel Management Lifters.
- Pushrod Length Must Be Checked During Installation To Verify That The Correct Length Pushrods Are Being Used.
- The Vehicles Engine Control Module/Power Train Control Module Must Be Reprogrammed To Turn Off The Active Fuel Management System In The Operating Software.
- Vehicle Will Not Be CARB Compliant After The Vehicles Engine Control Module/Power Train Control Module Is Reprogramed
- Must Use The MDKP1 DOD Block Off Plug That Is Sold Separately. Or The VLOM Must Be Replaced With A Non-Active Fuel Management Valley Cover.
